Remember to take the last 7 digits of the car and check at BMW what issues the car has had. These are lovely cars, ask Leonard but be aware that they can be very expensive to repair and require son=me know how when it comes to the electronics. Giles has just bought one and has had his first scare. Good luck and enjoy her. A 745i is not a car, it is a machine!

I'm going to Paarl tomorrow morning for an hour or two. (Get passport for the little one) Have to head back as soon as possible as I still need to swop a radiator and crank pulley when I get back. Want to tag along Rick?

An I want to say I'm in here before LZ :mmm: And he would say no to that one. Though Rick is probably the right guy for the troubles that the 2002 E65's have to offer...

Rick.... too expensive bud...

Phone a few dealers, tell them you have a 2002 E65 with 117 on the clock to trade in prestine condition...

Tell us what they say, 3/4 wont buy, the rest will offer you 80k.

You should be paying that kind of cash for a 2005 pre face lift, and around 160ish for a facelift.

You walk in and offer him 120k, he will take it, I promise you...

+1 What LZ said, I have seen a clean one at AutoFair in Pretoria a few weeks back, guy had it for R155K, after half an hour on the lot a dealer offered the guy R110k 2002 745 as well, and he took it, I asked the guy why he accepted he told me that Menlyn Auto offered him R87000 on trade - think that scared the old man senseless into selling at R110k...

Negotiate with Riaan Burger for a better deal! Its a fantastic car.
