Hi guys

I am looking at a 3.0D at the moment.
2007 with 39000kms on it with motorplan.
How are these cars?
I see the tyres (at that milage) is buggered and will need immediate replacement Are they heavy on tyres (driven by a lady apparently)

motorplan is extendable - will it hold its value for a bit or will it drop significantly in 2 years time? (thats how long I want to keep it for)
Any thoughts welcome

i should also just say the car is for the wife and will be used mainly for transport to and from school, occasional road trip, etc

awesome car that.... shouldnt lose too much value if kept Mp is extended and you wont be putting on alot of km's. tire life I believe is driver dependent if you just going to school and back tires should give you great km's. I say go for it:thumbs:

Also consider the previous shape (E53) X5 3.0d. Most of the mechanical's are the same, but IMO the E53 is a much nicer vehicle than the previous X3 and prices should be about the same (as the X5 typically depreciates quicker).

I suggest going to test drive both and see what you prefer. In any case, the 3.0d motor is awesome.

The X5 is going to be too big for us. The X3 seems more practical for us.
Apparently this specific unit is considered very popular and I am told the price is fairly reasonable at R290k

thats a good price. But ask yourself why it is selling at that price. The 3.0d don't have the best resale value so if you are gonna buy then drive it into the ground as you won't get much when it comes time to sell again.

Thats exactly what i was think as well?

BMW's are not famous for holding its value hey:rollsmile:

Really want to get the X3 35i but at the price makes me think about it afew times. Fantastic drive though and more than enough grunt. See the demo models already dropping in price by more the R60k. not the right specs though.

Flipping car no longer available

Oh well, not meant to be

Think I should revert back to the x3 f25 35i
Only pricing currently holding me back
Not much diff between diesel and the 35 pricing
