Just clocked 250000km in the X3 :smilebounce:

Just a footnote on that consumption.... That's after towing my 3 bike trailer loaded with lifting slings / chains / shackles from Heidelberg to Hilton

2013 20d. So far not a day's trouble. She's running beautifully and doesn't use a drop of oil between services. Most of the time I get a consumption of 6.4l/100km on a tank with 95% on the open road and the rest a bit of town driving.

Was offered a trade in of R150k on a new 30d X3. Small issue of that car being over a Bar specced the same as mine. So I'll be keeping my 20d and see how far she goes:smilebounce:

Wow! That's great performance. I have always liked them, maybe I should consider getting one.

Glad to hear that all is going well and I hope it continues that way.

Rockfire I think think big plus for my car is that it's open road driving. I have never reset my average speed on the onboard computer and this is sitting on 86.8km/h over the 250k km total distance covered.

I had the gearbox oil changed last year on around 195k km and the chaps at ZF in Durban called me to look at the oil. It still looked new

This didn't really surprise me given the fact that the car is mostly in 6th to 8th gear only toll gates interfering with that :thumbdo:

I'm going to give the suspension a total refresh soon with new shocks and bushes and also will need new disc rotors / pads and finally 4 new tyres in about 15k km. So I'm going to drop about R40k on the car probably but I figured it's better to do that on a car I will own after last installment on 1st Sept this year than to take a pittance as a trade in on a car costing R1 Bar and R22k pm to pay off. :hammerhead::hammerhead:
