Congrats on an awesome car buddy, it's not BMW engineering but with respect the g6gti is getting darn close! My Gf has one and I always want to play with the dsg and not her in the car...:sorry:babe!

My 1 gripe is with the car is the steering wheel, while it is a beautiful work of art it is a little thin for my liking compared to the BMW, does your car have the service plan or maintainence plan? If it has the service plan then start the modding, they cannot revoke that from the customer, the maintainence plan is a little more harder but again it's who u know rather at the dealership to arrange your servicing, when I spoke to a performance tuner in Durban they informed me that they will do the service bookings on the car so it will get allocated properly or use bring it back and they remove the do and of to service it goes,

I see that xcede has a massive special on software and dp on at the moment, and they done some quick Gti's as well so they know what they doing..and the car sounds awesome with the dp!

Many happy safe Kms..

It has the standard 5 year / 90 000km Service Plan
And the 3 year / 120 000km Warranty but no maintenance plan. (Like for all the wear and tear parts)

:=):

Thanks guys for all the nice replies. I thought I was going to get shout on :fencelook: lol hehe

Mike can I ask you a favour please...Can you maybe take a photo of the engine on your MK6 GTI...I think my car had some aftermarket intake on and now some breather pipe or something is sticking out with no hose? I don't think it's major. Maybe even it's how the car comes out?

Thanks!

Congratulations!

I think the GTI is much better as a complete package than any 1 or 3 series with an engine smaller than a 2.5L.

I have said it before, but I would rather drive the top of the range "less significant " car than an entry level "high end" car.

Happy mileage!

Thanks FordKoppie! After I spoke to you I was just hooked in the all round package. Thanks for the advice and recommendations on all the cars. I think the GTI did it for me! :=):

Couldn't have said it better. That's how I build and buy computers and the same goes for cars I suppose. You get a lot of bang for your buck and it's top of the line. Congrats boeta! I'm keen to go for a drive in it :)

VAG is very lenient with mods. Get a re-map done as soon as possible. VW will not even know.

Beautiful car - love them in white.. Very scalable car to mod too. Enjoy!

My first quote on insurance for my E90 was R5k per month (some stupid rules about being under 25 and high risk)

Congrads on the new purchase you got a nice car there bud, the good thing about the GTI is the awesome DSG box, It is easy to Mod and get good gains and VW is not sticky with Motorplan - well they not as hectic as BMW. I only pay like R700 on insurance on my 135i - if you need my brokers details you can PM me - I am sure they will get insurance for much less for you.

Enjoy the car !!!
