Heya all,

Ive been having a problem with a rough idle and my car also revs its self to about 1800rpm.

So took apart my maf to clean the sensor which helped a bit...but at the same time i noticed that the pipe (no 4 and 5 in the diag) that was ment to be connected to the boot (no 3 in diag) was not connected and hanging free

It looks like it has been glued back once or twice, most likely broken during a service.

So im going to replace all the damaged pieces, but my question is does anyone know where this little pipe leads and what its for?

thanks in advance

Ergo why I am trying myself. DIY I know it is fixed and all the bolts are tight. Also I am extra carefull as I want to fix it once and not give myself repeat business. :)

PS Check prices as Stealers wanted R425 for that pipe I fixed and I got it from Midas for R32 and added 2 clamps to do propper job that cost me R8.
