AGM Battery ‘17 BMW F30 320D

Hi all, so my battery in my 320D gave up after 10 years and 204000kms. I was in Durban at the time, I managed to get a replacement but it was a 658 non AGM battery, as most places did not have an AGM battery in stock.

I am not comfortable leaving this battery in the car and wanted to get some advice from the forum on which AGM Battery I should replace this battery with.

BMW Bedfordview quoted me R9200 for a BMW 90ah AGM with registration/coding

Ross Duncan in Midrand quoted me R8700 for a BMW 90ah AGM with registration/coding.

Are there any other options for batteries and registration that is comparable to the service I have receive from this BMW battery?

Central Batteries in Centurion quoted me R7000 for a 105ah AGM Varta and R6200 for a 105ah AGm Exide. This then excludes coding, although I am sure a few forum members could help you out with that.

As far as I know Varta is OEM on BMW,so I am leaning towards that, but also still doing my homework.

Hi Schalk thanks for the response.

I checked for the Varta, found a 90ah for R5300 and called a friend that said he can help me with coding/registration. tempted to go with this option.
