Normally the orange is remote. The other colors are pretty straight forward...

In simpler terms - Use one of your rear speakers to get power.

No no.... normally you tap into a spare constant 12V..
Remember
Red - Constant 12+ (input )
Black - Negative - Ground from Car (input )
Orange - Output to remote on your amp
then you have
Speaker Input - These you feed or tap from rear speakers ( depending on which signal Freq you want )
Pair for Left Input
Pair for right input
then run the RCA cables to your amp

gerald5ive said:The factory head unit has a built in crossover. Even the standard head units. It only sends mid/high range frequencies to the rear shelf speakers. Dont tap there it will sound horrific. I tapped from the subs under the seat.
