Hello Everyone!

Just thought I would share my new headlight upgrade with the members.

My 135i never came with Xenons and after buying a few different types of bulbs and still not being happy I though i would try and change the headlights completely.

Comments welcome !

Fantastic!!

can you please give us a thorough detail of the retrofit.
there are other threads on this forum but I found them a bit vague.
I was really interested in doing this when I had my one series.
My idea was to buy OEM Xenon headlights and fit, but I found out later it wasnt just a plug and play, the wiring and coding needed to be changed and the cost involved couldn't be justified at the time.
I researched the Depo headlamp xenons but couldn't source them,

Hi all,

So as for fitment, one of the BMW techs that I work with did it for me.
Its pretty straight forward, one needs to remove the bumper and the rest is plug and pay.

I have however removed the lights again as I was not happy with cutoff line and when I tried to adjust them, I accidentally over adjusted the one bolt and the clip that holds the adjuster jumped out. The only issue with these is that they are a bit of mission to adjust. I will upload some pics later on.

I bought them from See-Dat Motorsport in Isando. They cost R3800.

I am in Pretoria East if anyone would like to come and see them.

Are you sure its just simple plug and play? did he not fit an HID kit or change wiring?

I did use an HID kit- but that the lights come with their own wiring, so Its not necessary to cut any wires from the original lights.Send me your number and I can explain it in details as to what exactly needs to be done.
