Advise please - 2004 Z4 - Manual

Hi all
Was window shopping today.
Found a 2004 Z4, 3.0i manual, with 114000km, fsh :=):
It has 18inch – low profile :yuck: – Not a fan – prefer high profile – pot-hole around here are bad
Noticed a bit of water in the battery well – is this normal? :fencelook:
What must I look out for?
I’m thinking about it – depends on the Bank and the trade in!

You won't regret it.
Water in the battery well can only mean the engine was washed.

Check that the roof works.
Leave it down when you drive out of the showroom. The rest won't matter.

Don't know about the 04 model, but my Z had the battery in the boot.?

How much is it going for ?

If you were to trade the car in again in the near future, you would get around 120-130k for it, being optimistic, so just keep that in mind. They are not easy sellers.

Had an offer of 100k for my 2006 model :facepalm: from a certain dealer in Benoni.

I decide to buy the car after making the bank change the deal to my liking .

Totally different drive.
Fraser I did drop the roof before setting off
Smiles around including the family

Cost is high but FSH and on 114000kms, very good condition

doors are a bit tinny

Amazing car man. Got mine a year ago and never joined a forum before. Should have because I ended up spending 40k on repairs and restoring.

You should bring the car up to Limpopo around Sabie and Graskop. You'll love the drive

The day started off good, sunrise drive into work along coast with top down - beauitful! Life is good today!

Watched a fifth gear episode last night on second hand sports cars. Boxter S 2000 model, Z4 2004'ish and RX8.

All fun affordable cars that make driving a pleasure. Z4 rated best everyday ride and the engines are just superb.

The Z4 is a beaut.

But: I have had to top up the oil twice already – 1 pint every 700kms – is this normal ?
I know some BMW motors like their oil

You most likely have an oil leak
