Advice on tyres (E36 M3)

Hi guys i need to replace the rear tyres on my car. What would you guys recommend?

The car currently has Continetal SC3's back and front. The fronts outlasted the rears twice now and still has alot of thread probably 60% if not more.

It seems to go through the rears relatively quick.

Quotes so far: Continental sc5 @ R2295
Pirelli p7 cinturato @ R1990

As much as l like the Goodyear eagle f1 assymetric 2, the car will feel terribly "loose" if you fit only rears and coupled to the old fronts.

Reason for this is that the sidewall is relatively soft, and the fronts will be very hard by now. So you will get the sensation of driving with underinflated rear wheels.

As they age, it will become better.

Honestly - if you can get the Pirelli for R2k, you should take it and run (assuming the size is 245/40/17)

Yes bud the Pirelli are 245/40/17. So this is a decent tyre?

Always hated Contis, others loved them.

I rate the Hankooks very high, as well as the P7 Cinturato.
