I would say it all depends on what you are looking for in the car. Would you like a nice V8 burble (muscle car feel but with excellent handling) (e92), a screaming I6 with a nice tinny sound and precision cornering (e46) or a no nonsense raw powered handling track attacker (e36).

What would you like the car to do in future? I see you would like a weekender. Is that weekend Sunday drives? Track? Further mods? etc.

Luckily the e46 offers the raw "trackiness" of the e36 with the "never go out of style" looks of a modern car.

You realy put it nice , i would defnt prefer the e92 but with a budget its difficult getting one, yes wknd cruising no tracking.

Also check out insurance costs....... it aint cheap
My insurance on the e92 is R800 per month, R650 for the E46 and R580 for the e36
