advice needed please.

Hi guys,

Just got my E46 325ci the other day, its my very first beemer
first issue: the EML ASC and brake warning (the one that comes on in red when you pull up the hand brake) are all lit up in yellow and all together and when these lights are on, I've got a lot less power... they are not always on but sometimes when i start the car they're lit up and they stay like that untill i switch off the car for a few hours then turn it back on again...
what is causing this?:thinking:
second issue: i don't want to take the car back to where i bought it for repairs/services because i don't trust that the technicians are good enough for working on my car.. so in the JHB/PTA area where is the best place to take your BMW for any repairs/services etc?

something aint right there, try and get the codes read and that should give you a starting point.

check you brake fluid if its low the had brake and asc lights go one and off i dont know if the eml light would come on because of this in your car... if its not that then its probably a sensor and you need to have your codes read to find which one...

The asc and brake light can also be on because one (or more) of the sensors are dirty, so that is also something to look at.

Dont forget dude you bought the car under the new consumer protection act. Tell the dealer about the problems get a quote for repairs from your own repairer and get them to pay for it or return the car.

They cannot sell a car to you unless they disclose all visible and non-visible defects on the car.
