I have the Forge 007 DV's in my car and they are brilliant. Never a days issue and maintenance on them is easy.

If your are running a stock car i don't see a need for them, if you plan on running more boost then they are definitely worth the upgrade

So the OEM will be better if my car is stock and the DVs are starting to perish

You will obviously need to change the DV's if they start to leak boost.

The Forge DV will also leak if they are not maintained.

Like everything time will take its toll on components. Like i said running stock boost the OEM DV's are fine.

My car is stock and i am installing the Forge DV's. As stated previously they perish due to age, doing the forge dv's will give you that piece of mind knowing that you having something decent and new installed.

Keep in mind the Forge dvs will need to be serviced every 10k kms... Remove, clean, lube and refit... A bov will be the least maintainence of them all...
