so heres the deal, about a month and half ago i bought a e90 325 at auto atlantic. i only drive the car on weekends and bought it with 70k on the clock, the reading this morning was 71300km. when i bought it my oil level was reading full. this morning is was just aove the min mark (+1) level. i go to auto atlantic and they say they have to drain the oil, fill it to max again and then in aonther 1k i must come back to asses.
Heres my issue, it took a month an half to clock 1000k and will prolly take me even longer as i need to fly up to jhb for business alot this month, the reall isuue is my plan lapse end of OCT so i want to get this sorted asap because you cant tell me my car uses so much oil? that means i will be filling up on oil once a month of only driving weekendS??

what should i be forcing them to do or rather what can i force them to do, i mean the car is not even with me for 2 months yet!!!!

Mmm drain oil and replace oil level sensor or drive all the way to Paarl and ask them. They sorted my 325i when I had the idle issue and my head got replaced. OR You can give it back and buy my 325i standing at Helderberg BMW. Then drive it and see. My 325 did not use oil and I think its a good car. Pitty I had to trade it but the fuel economy was killing me and I went diesel with the same power

Oh my dad bought his 320 there recently and there was a slight problem with the gear selector. they orderd the selector and it was fitted 3 weeks later. Then when he recieved it I told him something is wrong. then after a week of having it fitted he got the gearbox warning on the dash and it was a mission to get it out of Park.

He took it back and yes wait for it.

They never adjusted the New unit when they installed it and damaged some wires. Needless to say on top of this they had the Car for a week and they could not even care when I asked them how this can happen. and why did they Take thier time for a mistake they had made.:bangdesk:

I have warned you and good luck. I hope thier attitude in the service departmant changes

Well I booked the car in this morning and then they tried explaining to me if there's an oil leak then I would have seen oil on the ground coz the car stands a lot and I promptly asked if they know how many clovers are under the e90 so no I won't see any oil leak, i could see abit of an attitude but i thought f*ckit, im not gonna be easy. then the whole ITs a BMW process to drive for another 1000km first not auto atlantic. to which i replied well if thats the case under the consumer protection act regarding second hand car sales then im returning the car because i think its usless to do a oil consumption test over a perriod of 1000k, im sorry bt 3litres oil for 1000k aint correct.

So will see what they have to say.
i never ever used auto atlantic before, its only because i bought the car from them, and funny thing is they across the road from my work. literally.

will see what they have to say abit later

Hi. Sorry for late reply/update... So regarding the oil issue I was forced to do the 1000km oil consumption thing first bt since then last week Thursday I booked my car in because my washer fluid light went on and I noticed the car was leaking water from behind my front wheel... Bt had to be the water from the window washer because it had some soap mixed in the water... Anyway took it in the Friday and as I'm leaving the Friday to Mykonos I realized that its still leaking. they tell me over the gone to book it in this week. This morning I start the car at club Mykonos to now book out and the car sounds like a diesel, very loud tapper sounding noise from the engine... I fined them up, explain to them the issue and then they say I must book car in... Almost 30 minutes of idling and the sound still there... So I fine back up to find out if they will come tow me if anything should happen on the way back... The consultant tells me they will call me back. Eventually I just decided to drive slowly... The sound goes away and almost two ours later they call me back!!! WTF! I am so ghatvol of auto atlantic now!!! Nt even funny!!!

I have warned you. I actually cancelled my deal of a e90 330d at the last minute(the car was registered in my name already but I went to a better dealer and they helped me. Wish you could have gotten my car for you would have had no issues. It also did not use oil and all its issues were sorted. Its standing at Helderview BMW if its not sold yet.

Well good luck with Auto Atlantic service departmant. I would go to another dealer and be straight with them why you are bringing the problem to them to fix
