AdiS E46 M3 bearing work

Since AdiS bought his new M3 in May it has been in JHB having work done on it as per this thread:

He decided to do bearings prior to it travelling down to CTN.
Car had previously under the BMW bearing recall had them done at 15000Km so what you see is 100k worth of wear.

We used VAC bearings and ARP bolts.

Sump was chemically dipped.

Who ever changed the bearings on 15000 took time of to have 530d engraved jus for you to find a 100k kilos later:roflol:

I encourage you to let peter do this job for you. As you can see, mine are quite worn after just 100k km.

This job is considerably cheaper than a replacement engine or rebuild.

The car is looking absolutely beautiful ADIS. I know the trouble you went through to get the car. We pondered many late nights on the pros and cons. I think you followed the right path by investing in the preventative maintenance upfront. There is no price for piece of mind. It was carried out to the T. Many happy miles.
