ahhh....OK....mine is a "facelift" as far as I have been told

Yup, if you have the "angel eyes" or "corona rings" on your headlights + round foglights you do have the facelift. Plenty more indicators of an LCI that I haven't mentioned.

Lovely cars, I think the E39 was the first car to introduce "Angel Eyes"? I learnt how to drive on one and still think it's one of the best cars... in the world.
