91' 535i E34 Fuel Consumption

So we went to Klein Kariba for a mid week break away, first one in 2 years again. :excited: First real long run I did with the 535i since I bought it Jan 2009. :clap: The average consumption was 5.73km/L at 100km/h with cruise control and a trailer. :shocked: What a pleasure to drive this beast.

ye, hmm, my 535i used to EAT fuel.. my 540i is quite allot lighter on fuel than the 535i was ...

Ja hey... I can confirm what Clutchy is saying here... I have an E39 540i now since May and the last month or so I have managed to get about 7km/litre ... with my E34 535i it was 6km/litre ... MAX!!!!

You guys are sooooo lucky!

Best I get on my E39 528i currently is 20L/100km!

Will have a look at it tomorrow by someone who knows, can't wait!!
