Are there any other 8 series owners out there? It would be good to get to know the extent of us, and parting info goes a long way to helping to save some dough....

I hopefully will be not in SA though but I have a small group of friends who all own 8 series cars.Some of them are extremely knowledgeable about the E31's :thumbsup: One of them has rebuilt a few and another specialises in repairing them and breaking them too......

Don't expect anything to be cheap to repair on them though but if you get stuck with something then PM me and I'll aks my mates :thumbsup:

Thank you for this, Toeks, it is always useful to have "a contact who knows someone ..." particularly now that the dear old 8 is getting older but, I hope, not forgotten. Incidentally, I have a workshop manual and torque settings manual on pdf if it's any good to anyone.

Howzit Toeks. Got my silver 96 4.4L 840Ci about 10 days ago. Bought in June in London. Pity you so far away. Just fitted a set of 20"s to it. Still on cloud nine ! Thinking of flying back to the UK to get me a red manual that I saw while I was there. Owner still deciding if he is selling. Good to know I am not alone ! Would not mind the workshop manual. Can you mail me a copy of the PDF if possible ? Would really appreciate it ! Best, Nazeem
