Thank goodness it's rare. Not my cuppa tea. certainly not a WOW. Glad it was never produced.

Personally,I think the CLS shooting brake is the ugliest Merc in recent times along with the R class. But horses for courses I suppose.

Sloping the rear window doesn't make it a shooting brake. A 4 door wagon is a sationwagon.

I like. But then I am a fan of shooting brakes. As an active person with varied hobbies they are brilliant. One day I had been flying in the morning and scuba diving in the afternoon. My little two door sportscar swallowed all the kit needed for the day. Try that in porsche.

True that Merc is using some poetic license in calling it a shooting brake. Suppose Station Wagon is just too ordinary a term.
It's no RClass though - nicer and sportier than that- drove one on the weekend - great drive and awesome luxury....

I am sure that it is a great car to drive and very well specced. It just doesn't do it for me in the looks department.

I figured as much because the two pics posted in this thread have different slants in the B-pillars.

This one above is a very good rendition and honestly would make one brilliant classic.
