the interior just needs a good clean up, i think the motor just needs some work,

The wheels are lovely

Depends on the year. post '82 will be worth more, can't tell from this angle but I think that's a E24/1, a pic of the rear bumper would help.

Is it a dog=leg manual? If so probably earlier model. Being a manual is good for value though.

Have you any more pics or the VIN?

For a non-running E24/1 I would not pay more than R20k.

I got an '82 3-speed auto last October for R74k.
Problems experienced so far:
1. Fuel pump + hose faulty.
2. Leaking power steering hose.
3. Brake servos need reconditioning.
4. Replaced ALL fuses.
5. In-dash electrics play tricks, eg wipers switch on for no reason, aircon fan stopped working.

Otherwise, she goes like a dream. definitely a project car.

Seriously.... you paid R74K for an 82 non-m88 auto...:nonono:
To every man their own but a pristine 82 generally goes for 35k-50k. Theres a red one on the gum that is a manual and in great condition. Guy wants R65k for it. It has remained unsold for 21 months that I have been tracking it.

For R74k I hope yours is spectacular!

Condition will dictate price for any 635csi.

This is a 635/1 so less desirable, but the manual is a bonus.

Rust...

Rubbers... frameless windows means complicated and unique rubbers=expensive.

As far as I can tell that is not an original colour... so inspect for damage underneath.

Sports seats in leather...

Smooth running engine.

If all good 50-60K if all bad 15-20K

I got my reasonable 85 for 47K with manual and all things working (just).

I BOUGHT AN 82 E24 1, AUTO, ORIGINAL PAINT, 145000KM, FOR R40K, SPENT R45K ON IT IN THE BLINK OF AN EYE. ENGINE PRETTY BULLET PROOF. THE ONE IN YOUR PICTURE HAS RECARO SEATS LIKE MINE...NICE. RIMS NOT SO NICE. RIGHT HAND DRIVE ALWAYS GOOD. CHECK EXHAUST, BRAKE SEALS IF ITS BEEN STANDING, RADIATOR. I PREFER SERIES 1, MAY BE BECAUSE I HAVE ONE THOUGH!
