I saw the GT at Kirstenboch over Easter weekend this year and TBH, it was not so wow (like the media made it out to be...)

I don't like the look of the GT, pretty ugly in my opinion, and the prices, damn :shocked:
But the back end that is just a special kind of ugly previously unheard of, I don't understand wat BMW was thinking.

I absolutely love it and is so remenescent of the E39 (which is/was in my opinion the sexiest BMW ever designed).

I love the new 5 so much that I intend on getting one as time goes. I hate the 5GT so much that I intend on bombing each and everyone that I see wherever I go.

Gonna have to disagree with you guys... Perhaps one day when I'm rich and famous (how likely will that be?) I want a 550i GT as a daily driver - with the ACS kit. It looks awesome! High power, high weight (making it marginally safer than a 5 series). You know I believe it weighs more than a 7 series?!

See what I mean? I get it when someone see's the lower spec GT's, and they look kinda boring and slow. But a 550i GT with ACS... That's a whole different story.

The problem area is still the back end and for me on the ACS one's back end still has problems it just makes the entire car seem to high, I don't think any amount of body kitting will fix the GT's problems.

I have no idea what this ACS will cost but considering the price of the normal 550 GT we can assume that it will be massively expensive, and I'd rather spend my money on a 7 or the new M5 (if I had money to spend)
This of course is just my opinion.

Not that I am a fan of audi's, but its a sad day when an audi is better looking than a BMW by this kind of margin. I don't really see why anyone would want the GT over say something like 5 series estate.

Design wise, the Audi does come up trumps.

Well technically the 5 GT's rival is the A7 sportback. Have a look at what it looks like

I'd much rather have the 550i GT ACS for an everyday driver and have something with silly power for weekends. Each to their own...

I would just get myself a ///M5 estate as it is pratical with lots room for stuff, and on the day that you feel like it it can rip your face off.
I don't quite understand the idea of the sloping hatch, but thats just me....
