hi guys, i recently bought a 525i touring . i noticed that the ABS modulator was missing :nonono:



as a result lots of things weren't working.

the part number is 0265223001 / 0265900001
looks something like this




i am having problems in locating the part, please help :argh::bangdesk:

hey bro, nice ride. i drive a 525iT Msport individual and had the same problem. the thing is, those things cost about 4 grand to repair when you have one that is faulty. getting one from the stealers is not even an option as you'll have to sell a kidney to buy one. do you know if you have asc or dsc? check what the traction control button says below the radio on the left hand side of your console. i know someone that bought a part for a customer and the customer never ever picked it up. let me know what you have and i'll check with him. are you in cape town? let me know.

yeh bru, tell me about it, i tried durban and jhb, no one has the part. As you can see from the picture, my ride doesnt have that part at all!!!
its an ASC model, the car is in durbs at the moment.

i managed to get one , brand new , original bosch part.

And thanks to a friend overseas, i can now get stock of the Bosch ABS control unit :=):

what exactly wasnt working. My Speedo is working intermittent along with odometer not registering the mileage and the asc not working and just trying to pin point the problem.

all the electronics on my car are not working, the speedo, odo, abs light is on, asc not working. its definitely the abs module. did some research about it, and went to a few bmw specialists.

if you are having the same problem then its highly probable that the unit is on its way out, or has gone already

i heard about a guy in cape town who rebuilds them for about R4000.

the prob on my car, was that the entire part wasnt there...
