5 series gps

I have a gps cluster (display etc) for the e39 5 series beemers (not sure whether they only work on the e39's).

I got this from the guy whom I bought my car from,I was thinking of either selling or giving it away if anyone is interested,as I am not going to use it.

It is apparently in good working condition but I am never going to use it.

I have the entire harnass,wiring diagram en the display cluster.

If this is the OEM nav unit, I am interested. I already have the full nav unit in my E46, but my screen is cracked and the E39 uses the same screen.

It is the OEM sat nav but I honestly have NO idea whether it is still fully functional or not.

I was going to sell but I don't want to sell something that I can't guarantee as a working unit.


Besides,I have no idea what the thing is worth.

PS. I actualy have 2 of them,but the one is from europe and I don't know where the other one is from.I only have one harness though.


The one unit has its display on the left side and the other one has its display on the right side.

I will take pics tonight and post them here tomorrow.

I'm not gonna sell,as I can't gaurentee a working product.

SO I will be giving msm one and the other one to p1000.

Guys how do I upload pics ?

I went through a box containing all the stuff I received from my brother in law and I also found a few BMW amplifiers (1 of them a philips and one of them was a alpina) The amps are in working condition so them I will be selling for R300 each.

I have 4 or 5 different amps. (all of them with the bmw logo on)

Basically just upload to a photobucket account, copy the IMG code and paste it here.

I believe that there is quite a bit of electronics that need to be changed for this to work, not just the head unit, so please post pics of everything.

Cannot believe someone can still want to give stuff away..... shows you, bunch of nice guys these BMW owners, must be because life's now become a joyfull journey to enjoy while you drive...

My E39 has the previous owners tape stuck in the tape deck. Can one fit somethin else than a Tape deck?

I'd love to fit something else in there. but at the moment I think I'm just gonna pull my entire radio unit out and replace it with a touchscreen and do a car computer interface with gps and all that stuff. much more fun than a normal radio. really wanna do it
