why would anyone wanna buy the single turbo then, if they're selling both versions

I dont think this applies to SA though... from what I've heard, we're keeping the n54 until the next generation of 3 series is released (2012)

Seems like the 335is is the same as an N54 with Bmw power upgrade (240kw 430/450Nm), whilst the N55 remains at 225kw... our cars are gonna be in demand soon!!!
