335 vs S4

So I had a run with a S4 this weekend on the highway.

Saw it in my rear view mirror, as the guy drives up to me and gives me the look he floors it. I now have to play catch up, slowly I reel him in and at about 200km/h I start getting close. At 250 he moves over because I'm now right on him, we go up to 270 were my car limits out and he still keeps on going until there is about 2-3 cars between us. We tap off not to miss the offramp.

Nice race, only question is how could he still go after 250...???

Unless Audi is offering the delimiter on the S4(but still 270 i think is optimistic for that car) like they do on the RS5 cause my unlces S5 is goverened to 250km/h, but i dont think the S4 was stock either.

@Calla...You can delimit yours; irrespective of your current software.
Were you restricted to post on the TLGP thread due to your post count? Or did you prefer to post here unrestricted? Try post this kind of tale in the TLGP section.

The thing is when a car like the S4 (new models) are already infront of you by two cars or more and is flooring it; its better to just enjoy the sound of his exhaust. It WILL end up into a 200km/ph + run...which is not fun anymore....for me anyway...says an old man.

Unless it was a planned topend run to see how far you can stretch it. Try the sneaky robot dash and I am sure you would have turned the tables.

Audi's tend to run passed their 250 governor :mmm: in stock form. I've spotted them many times in magazines hitting breaks at 250+, i think if my memory serves me correct the RS4 ran to a true top speed of 265kph, before knocking on the limiter.

So much for the gentlemens agreement :banghead:

But what i don't understand is if you got sw, why did you hit the limiter? Didn't you get the governor removed?:thinking:

Remember if you're doing 270, it doesn't mean you doing a true 270. Cars do unfortunately over read

When my car was stock i ran it to around 270 and the Garmin indicated 258kph, but i was mind boggled as to why the limit sign never come up on the dash, as the cars hand book shows when you approach the limiter a sign will pop up on the dash :dropjaw:

@ASH M i also got to 253kph GPS reading, and the car just holds it there... after abt a min or so, engine mngt light came on and car went into limp mode...:cursin:

Kak feeling that :banghead:, did it sort it self out or did you have to take the car into a dealer? I don't think they should question you on why you were driving at that speed, because they claim it can do that speed and is built to do that speed. My car never hold that speed it could have when on but i tapped off, wonder what it could have ran too :shocked: lol, doubt i'll try now with Aarto coming in to play, time for fuel saving mode :cursin:.

Nah, i just pulled over and restarted and did it all over again...
