335 or 330d?

has this debate been done to death?
then humour me please, and up your thread count.

I'm considering replacing my Murano. Lest their be any doubt I'm a petrol head. I've driven both these cars in the E90 guise; never with the 8 speed auto. Is the F30 better?

As this will be a second car (very limited yearly mileage) fuel consumption isn't of primary concern.

So - by process of reduction then; we're left to debating which is the better driver's car?

And what colour and spec would you choose? (with due regard for cost).

p.s I don't have a deal yet - this is is part hypothetical, part for the erudition of mankind in general. thanks in advance.

If fuel is not a concern, I say 335i all day everyday, noting beats the feeling of a 6 cylinder revving at 7000rpm :praise:

Like rayzor said if fuel consumption is of no concern than the 335i. Best is for you to test drive both cars.

I was faced with the same question 6 months back. Currently sitting in a 335 e90. Love my car to bits. Engine note is beautiful, but the main reason why I didn't go 330d is because I put on very little mileage and only use on weekend, so fuel wasn't the issue.

Most guys will say go for the 335i, but you need to decide whether you want fuel consumption, or that little extra KW.

According to BMW brochure:
Car: 330d | 335i
Fuel: 4.9 | 7.2
KW: 190 | 225
NM: 560 | 400
0-100km/h: 5.6 | 5.5

If its your everyday drive, diesel, otherwise, go all out for the petrol!

Also, the 330d is cheaper than the 335i!

Agreed!

I would take white, option depends on how you value them. I would have to have sat nav (makes the dash look so much more classier), sunroof, and most importantly, MANUAL!!!!!
