330d PPK???

Hi chaps,

Friend of mine recently acquired a 2013 330d Msport from a dealership here in jhb. Car was advertised having the PPK installed. Even had the badge on the engine cover.

Thing is, when checking the vin- the PPK isn't loaded.

So, after contacting SMG ( the dealership that 1st sold this car ), they confirm that the car was bought and later brought in for the upgrade.
But for no apparent reason they failed to load it to the vin.

Just checking if this I generally acceptable practice... and if not, how would he go about to verify if his car does indeed have the upgrade.

Easiest way to verify is to dyno :coolShake:

Any other way/ options other than the dyno...

Also, why would they not have loaded the PPK into the VIN...

Surely it has merit being there?

Maybe he should find a friendly bmw techie and chat a bit. I am sure there should be easy physical clues to spot ppk or not

Hi, I have a f30 330d with the ppk, the following was changed

the ecu
the intercooler
and the front brakes - cross drilled

i think the cross-drilled brakes would be the easiest way to identify.
