330d ODI 400 m and 1km Times

Finally got some recorded times for my LCi 330d

On the 1 km run i tried various launch methods...traction on off etc ...
I managed 5 runs and got a best of 212 km..

On the 400 m runs I battled to get launch correctly...The torque was a problem...either I wheelspun to much or I bogged using traction and throttle got cut.
Eventually got the car off the line using left foot break and holding car at 1000 rpm with traction completely off...Best time yesterday I managed a 14.08 .Not sure if this is good or bad but had a jol on the day...My ex car was an s5 audi and raced 2 on the day both 1 km run and on the 400m a few times and beat both so very happy with my beeeemer...even though audis are Quattro I could launch just behind then open about 2 car lengths on the 400 m stretch.

Those are good times I really battled to get off the line..I was running 19 inch 265 rears street tyres.

What were you running buddy

I also have 19" 265/30 but with wires sticking out :roflol:

Different days, different conditions.

Take Rayzor 1KM speed.
We have raced and we are neck and neck with each other.

But his 1km speed is lower. Race conditions where different

Just my 2 cents and for what it's worth have you tried launching in 2nd?

I find that 1st is way too short and drops far too much torque...

Ok so what I did was launch in 1st, traction fully off, brake boost til around 1500rpm (depending on tyres), launch with half throttle or slightly less in 1st, once you change up to 2nd, you can go foot flat on the throttle, also depending on tyre conditions

Dammit those are some insane timesraise: , I obviously assume all of you guys aren't stock, but also just with sw+dp you guys are doing 13s :clapper: , think I have to sell this petrol and get me a diesel rather because I'd have to spend alot to keep up with you guys :smashScreen: lol

Car is running awesome man, sounds insane with the DP!

Once you get some semi's on you ll be able to control the wheel spin a lot better.
