Good day all

Where do i start...lol
Recently while driving on N1 i picked up speed to 120km and took my foot off pedal and car kept picking up speed even with my foot off accelerator...i manage to bring it to a atop and it was smoking badly and oil all over the engine bay.
Had car towed and mechanic said its turbo failure...had turbo recond and turbo is 100% now but the car keeps going into limp mode as soon as i hit throttle over 3k rpm and it starts pissing oil out in engine bay and smoke through xhaust again.
The dpf light keepa coming on after 10min of starting car but it was deleted via sw.
Now the car drives perfect as long as i keep it under 2500rpm..no oil leaks and no smoke...as soon as i hit throttle to ver 3krpm it goes into limp mode and smoke with oil in engine bay.
I replaced brand new pcv valve and turbo oil return pipe but still same problem.

Any advice wht could be the cause will be highly appreciated.
Mechanic told me its my oil rings on pistons but the car does not smoke on idle or while driving under 2500rpm.

Its a 2008 pre lci 330d e90

Who did your turbo rebuild? Sounds like it wasn't done properly

Did your mechanic remove the entire charge air system and intake manifold and clean it aswell?

Can you see where the oil is coming from?

West coast turbos..they actually did a proper job..turbo was removed again and tested at 6bar on machine and no leaks...yes..all was removed and cleaned out...cant see where the oil is actually coming out/from...but interesting thing happened...we saw oil at the filler cap and replaced the cap with an original cap cause it was apparently a pirate cap...took car for a test drive and car was 100% pulling nice through the gears and no limp mode or oil or smoke...parked the car and an hour later i start her up and she's idling nrml like like always..no smoke..pull out and pull it through the gears then she went back in limp mode and smoking with oil in engine bay

If you change the breather use an oem one the pirate ones do not work at all, I tried it on my 730d and it was a flop. Try that first and see if it solves your issue. Sounds like the motor is breathing but from the wrong place
