Which year model came out with the LCI?

2009 OR 2010. Or did late 2009's get the LCI engine.

Can't help the 5's but can tell you the 3 was 2009 - as far as the motor goes I assume that it was same time.

Nope, late 2008. All LCi 330d's are the 180kw jobbie.

Im confused, thought it was April 2010, same time when the 320d went from 130kw to 135?

I stand to be corrected, but I remember being told that there were motor and electronic upgrades to the Lci in Sep 2010.

I would think here too because when I took delivery of my 323 in Dec 2010, salesman told me there was a software upgrade and various component upgrades from Sep 2010 on Lci models.

330d from Oct 2008 till the end of E90 production was 180kw.

I think the E90 got the new engine late '07 ... the updated engine had nothing to do with the LCI update which was mostly cosmetic & late '08 I believe.
I never heard anything of another update for an E90 330d except for the 335i (N54 to N55). The E92 got an LCI update much later than the E90...

Bud in 07 the pre-facelift got upgraded from 160kw to 170kw with a software update! Then at the end of 08 in conjunction with the LCI came the complete new engine in the 330d with 180kw!

Yulz was almost right, in the pre-facelift 320d in October 2007 they upgraded the engine to 130kw:thumbs: Was just an engine upgrade with no cosmetic changes!:thumbs:

The 330d LCI is the BMW N57 all-aluminium engine....

So let me tell you something about the N57 engine...

Its the same engine in the x35d at 225/230kw n 600/630nm

This will shock you...
same engine in the Mx50d 280kw n 740nm :joy::thumbs:

The turbo configurations and ECU's r diff
N57D30Ox uses single turbocharger x30d, while N57D30Tx uses 2 turbochargers x35d
Bore x stroke: 84 mm (3.3 in) x 90 mm (3.5 in)
