Guys,
The 330 made its way from JHB to DBN.
Never skipped a heart beat.
Averaged 7.9L over the trip with aircon on for most of the way.
Trip took 4h49 mins of driving.
It was the first long distance trip since Ralf@Speedway Motorsport did the exhaust.

Gizmo gave the 330 a clean bill of health yesterday after replacing the LCABs.

Just have to replace the 11 year old shocks next.

Have to say that my love for 330 grows deeper whenever it hits the coast and that hidden power is unleashed.

Must say that the exhaust tone is much deeper at the coast.

I will let Gizmo give his opinion of the exhaust tone after he drove it yesterday.

I just love 330i. The best I ever got was 13.2km/L from Polokwane to Gauteng. E90, 190kw.. I dont think there is another car on the planet that has 190kw (PETROL) that can do this, thats why Bmw won World engine award.

Last year down to Margate I got 7.8l/100 up untill I got on to the south coast highway. The extra power at the coast and that road. Well yeah consumption wasn't the same after that stretch.

Mine is a auto. I wish that I had the funds to get another one but 6speed manual.

I was going to take my Subaru Legacy on the trip. Would have been more practical bigger boot more spacious inside. But I just had to feel the extra power at the coast.

I hope the guys down at the coast know how lucky they are.

It sounds perfect! Best sounding 330i on this forum, although Sank has a nice sounding 330i too but I haven't had the chance to drive yet.:mmm:
