325ti cams and exhaust Q's

Hi All
I am new to the forum and looking for some advise
I have been a hardcore vw man for the last 8 years but sadly know very little about the bmw mechanical side.

I have just bought a 325 ti in silver stock and would like to know if e46 shape m3 cams are able to fit into the e46 325 motor as i understand that e36 m3 cams fitted into a e36 325i

Does this apply to e46 range?

i may not have the answer to your question, but would like to ask y would you want to fit a m3 cam in your car? any specific reason? what would you like to achieve by doing so?

Its my understanding that its the US M3 cams that fit the E36 M50 engine...this is because the US M3 is basically a tuned up M50/M52 engine...never heard of the E46 M3 cams been able to fit and E46 325 though...but you could look at getting aggressive shrick cams and a remap to reap the benefits

Well just to get it going a bit faster without going out of the oem range.

What local branche and exhaust is the best to fit.
What size and does someone need to do a remap on it ?

Do i have the M54B25 motor and what cams specs "Vanderlinde" can be recommended?
