325i e90 some views

I Found a neat 2008 325i auto sportpack with 80000 km for R269k from non bmw dealer. Mp expires 2013. Dealer improved price to R245k. I did some research and retail is R236k.
I called BMW dealership and asked how much they will offer me for a car like this. His first response was mileage is high and the 325i is not in demand. People prefer the 320i which I found odd. He would offer me about R190k.

Oh, there is small bubble on one tyre. Got about 60% thread. Is that an issue.
Also there are no comments.

What would be a fair offer.

Some insight from more experienced buyers will be appreciated.

The bubble in the tire is and issue, the tyre will have to be replaced.

And yes the 320i is more in demand, because it is cheaper.

I have a buddy with a white 07 325i Auto and alot less mileage and I think he is looking for around R220k.

So perhaps this dealer is asking a bit too much for that particular car.

Price seems a bit high. BMW is now giving huge discounts on new E90s to move stock, so that is having a ripple effect on 2nd hand E90's. In that price range, I would look for a 330i/330d.

And while you're looking, consider a new E90 - some of the BMW dealerships are giving huge discounts and/or very good interest rates. Do a search on the forum - there was a thread about this earlier this week.

Yea, look into the E90 320i upgrade deals that are floating around where they will upgrade your purchase of a 320i to a 323i at no extra cost. Even if they don't have that deal, there are still some big savings on the new cars, with low rates.

That price is too much for the mileage. Even tho the motorplan is is till 2013, its only till 100 000kms.

Look around, u'll def find a better deal.

I am based in CTN and will most likely need to make trip to JHB.

I only do about 10 000 per year and keep my cars for 3 or 4 years. I struggle to justify the depreciation on a new car versus a 3 yr old one. I am still to be convinced even if on special.

Not too keen on 330i and 323i. 320i nope, I love the sound of a 6.

one of dealers who did not hve a bmw suggested i drive the Audi A3 3.2 quattro. I have driven the new Audi A4 1.8T, found it too boring.
The A3 was so much fun and has an awesome engine tone.

But I think will stick to the 325i.

Why not a 330i? It should be lighter on fuel as well, since it has direct injection...

dont shut down the 330i or the 323i. Both are awesome cars.

the 330i might be a great option for you. might actually be a lil lighter on fuel also. Remember... Bigger engine requires less to get the car going...


the 323i is also a good car.

You do know the the 323i has the same N52B motor as the 325i, its just detuned.

If a good 323 or 330 comes along will definitely consider. Found a facelift 2008 325i s/pack with 54000kms. Working on deal.
