Hi Guys,
my 320i E90 headlights don't wanna lift-up when i start the car.
at times you can hear they trying to lift-up but they end up failing.
so they not lighting up the road as far as they should.
Dim and brights are normal.

Please help:fencelook:

You can adjust the headlights manually.

There is a plastic hexagonal nut behind the headlight. You can see it when you open the bonnet. Should be white in colour. Adjusting the nut will lower or pick up the beam.

Im assuming you have halogan head lights

Kyle may have a point there

My A4 (B7) has sensors on the rear suspension that the car uses to automatically adjust the level of the headlights. I think the same may apply to the E90?

check that the sensors on your front left control arms and rear control arm are still attached, however if the headlights do not cycle up and down when first turning them on then the little servo motor has either failed or disconnected itself. I had the issue where the ball on the servo disconnected itself from the reflector, it was a small job of opening the bumper lining and clipping of the bumper to remove the headlight. after that it was 5 min to slot it back in and all was normal.
