320d wont start

Hi guys hope I can pick some of your brains.

Ok so my BMW 320d E46 2003 wont start when its been standing for a while sometimes if its been standing more than 4 hours or over night i have to tow it to get it started.

but once it hot there is nothing wrong with the car and it starts every time .

So my conclusion somehow there is air getting into my fuel line, Ive pulled the backside of the car up ramps to the car is facing downwards that seems to help so far the car starts but I have to keeps the revs high ish till its hot.

Any idea what can cause this?

Won't be glow plugs. They're basically not required in our climate

Yes not the glow plugs, not that I think my glow plugs work that well anymore, but if glow plugs are faulty the the car would still give some indication of wanting to start, now if i dont reverse it up the ramps the engine will turn and turn, im nearly dead sure its air but I have check all my injectors theres no leaks there.

Could be a fuel pressure issue.
