320d Individual - trolley dent on bumper

Hey guys.

Had the bad fortune of reversing my car into a car guards trolley a few days back. It has dented my back bumper slightly and i wanna get it done up quick. There is a little bit of paint that is off so it will need some paintwork.

Does anyone know of any decent places that i can take it to that wont charge me an arm and a leg in and around Joburg? Im worried cos i have the individual paint and dont know if that is charged extra.

Thanks

Will probably be a bit more expensive as the individual paint require more coats to get the pearl effect.

Mr Arbee, just had his bumper redone and he has an Individual as well - perhaps chat with him...

Bad luck seems to be following me around i think!

Parked my car at a shopping centre yesterday and when i came back out after an hour my front bumper had been bashed in. I dont even know what the hell it was and am starting to get really pissed.

Will attach some pics later on when i get a chance of take some.

Thanks bud... OP has PM'd me and i advised which Panel Shop i sent my car to.

My front bumper was cracked and scraped at the bottom. Chips Away replaced the bumper so the job was based on the paint work of which i must say, is spot on. My car is Sepia Blue, it has the strangest pearl flip to it and the guys at Chips away not only matched it but they also matched the grain flow of the paint. Basically, if you look at the car and see the pearl and follow it through to the bumper it flows...

This pic is after the spray: (Cant see the pearl in the pic)

I once came out of the shops to find a scratch on my car... :cursin:
So I "bliksem"med the car guard!! :mmm:
They are quick to put their hands out " I will look at your car for you sir!"
but when you come back, and you find damages... :censored: all they say is "Eish!!"

The only shop I know of with proper car guards is the Mayville checkers hyper in Pretoria. :thumb:
I might sound like a racist, but I don't care on this one, :nono: the reason I say they have the best car guards,
is cause they are all white. :dropjaw:
They take responcibility if something is wrong, they will take down details if someone bumps your car,
and drives off, they can really think for themselves when something like this happens.
They also dont make a nuisance of themselves when you park, or reverse...!! :cursin:
I hate it when I start reversing, and right behind my car, there is Mr. Carguard,
and my parking sensor SCREAMING in my ears not to reverse!!! :censored:
I think I must start to "Skiet die bliksems!!
PS: I don't hate all the car guards, infact, my brother before he passed away was one.
It's just the ones that are constantly on your case to get money from you,
but run and hide when you want to complain about your car being damambed!

Thanks for the info Gents.

I got a reasonable quote from Streamline (ex Chips Away franchise) in Randburg. Their philosophy is minimal spray with new clear coat of entire repaired panel. Seen some of the work done on a silver car and it looks really good!!!

Best part is you get minimal "removal" of original paint but is onlt good for relatively small repairs.

Anybody had experience with these guys?

I've got a dent on my Brass Metallic Bmw Individual but haven't touched it because I'm scared the guys make a mess of it . Dent is on my fender . Who does the best job of these guys ?
