Hi guys... I have a Bmw 320d E90 2008 model and as u know this car does not have a needle temperature gauge and two weeks back, which was a week after the service it showed the yellow temperature sign on the dashboard and I had to pull off at filling station to check water level which was low.

The problem is persisting and the guy I trust in fixing thought it was a thermostat & that was replaced but did not solve the problem. The car has even started using more water, aircon/heater not working and i have decided to park it until i have established the problem. Anyone who might have an idea what the cause is?

Please help before I go to the slaughter house....

A number of things possible

The filler cap may need replacing
A leak from one of the water pipes
The gasket is blown between cylinder and water channel

Take it to a Silverton Radiator branch and ask them to do a pressure test on the cooling system and the cap.

Good Luck and welcome to the forum.
