Hi Guys

has anyone actually done a before and after dyno after fitting a down pipe?

I Have a remap and the difference from stock is amazing!
But now i would like to know, will adding a downpipe actually make an increase? i mean any increase, even if it is 2wkw and 5nm.

has anyone one tested this and have figures to show?

No figures to show, however the gain is not like a Turbo Petrol car unfortunately

Gain on your 320d or 330d for that matter will be a meer 2kw and 5nm else nothing at all.

Spool up time improves ever so slightly...

PLUS SIDE: If you have high mileage \ clogged CAT - This will be beneficial to your turbo :=):

If you do the DP, do you have to do the software? I'm considering getting the DP only for the reason you mentioned, that the CAT could be getting nearer to its end... Not really chasing a big performance boost. (that's what the other car is for :=): )

No need for software if you doing a Downpipe on E90 320\330d LCi :=):

Software is always your best bang for buck...and its something you will never regret opening your wallet for :chef:

Hi Keithan
My 320d lci is my daily family car, and don't want to mod it, but if adding the downpipe helps the car in the long run , can you pm me a price for the down pipe and fitment only.
no software.
I was also advised that by just doing the down pipe there is no errors that come through, can you confirm.

Car is on 168 000km

Hi Des,

My car was the 320d 2010 LCi model. No erroes come up when doing the downpipe and it benefits the turbo drastically.

I just got my brother-in-law to do his C220CDI (2012) model and he is tons happier.

Keithan is the one of the few DemiGods with diesels so no doubt that you will be tons happy!

Hi Guys,

Downpipe costs between R2500.00 to R4000.00
It all depends where you take the vehicle to.

I wouldn't do more than a downpipe on the 320d or the 330d. Downpipe is perfect match with a remap :cartel:
