My 320d e46 6 speed is doing something I can’t explain.
I start the bmw ( no problems with startup )let her idle while I say good bay to wife and kids open gates and then I get in to bmw .put bmw in to reverse but when I touch the accelerator nothing happens (take her out of reverse ) then I push accelerator again and again she doesn’t want to ref up If I take my foot off and leave her for about 3 seconds and then try again the bmw reves up and I can drive anywhere with it with no problems .
Just want to add if I drive on high way and I step on the accelerator hard she lets out black smoke and feels like she is losing power ,
Sometimes the bmw doesn't do it at all other times she does it about 2 times in n week.
Please can you help me .
This is what I did so far
Cleaned egr valve – was very very cloaked and dirty
Cleaned maf sensor – was dirty
And did a service on the bmw - wasn’t serviced in n long while
This is what I think it can be
The intake manifold – is blocked
Black smoke – inter cooler block with oil (oil that is in inter cooler goes in to turbo)
