Hope somebody can help.

Looking at buying used 318ti and would like to know if the price
of R65 000 (started at R70 000) is a good price. Private sale from colleague of my wife
Details of vehicle extract:

White 2004 BMW 318ti (compact) for sale.
Vehicle has done about 124000km
The car has the complete M-sports package including gearlever, steering wheel, sport seats (cloth), black interior, fog lights, 17" M wheels and body kit.
Also had anti-smash and grab tinted film installed.
Asking R70000

My other concern is since it is 6 years old and how many more years can one get. What serious/expensive problems can occur.
Nothing wrong with the body, no accidents, first owner etc

Thanks

dude, that is actually a REALLY good price, considering its a 2004 model.
with the mileage it has and sportpack, that car should be going between 110-130K

Buying a second hand car at 6 yrs, one cannot tell what mechanical failures might occur. Price is good although the Ti's has a very poor resale value. BUY IT.:thumb:

dude buy it
that is a great price for what you getting, standard ti's start at about 70K-110k with over 130 000 ks on so thats not a bad price,
what colour is it if its white or silver can i put my bid in ?:)

at that mileage common problems like front suspension bushes will need replacing and also expansion tank, which are fairly cheap replacements if they havnt been done already, engine is actually run in so you can still get some good mileage out of her

once again if you not buying her please forward contact details to me :)

This might sound silly, but I came across a couple of E36s in a compact Ti. Wish I could post them pics. They to damn cute "met hulle stomp gatte" :excited:

Brilliant price, good km's

My friend has a 318ti he is trying to sell, the only major problems ever encountered during ownership was that there was a recall on the ignition coils packs. Other than that we have had no problems with the car, also 2004/5 model with 125k km. pm me if any1 interested in it. R120k neg.

Thanks for the help guys. Took it to get RWC and following wrong before secrificate can be issued

Oil leak, doesn't look major but I'm no expert.
Leak in exaust system
Airbag light on - Owner mentioned something about a faulty censor at the back passenger side.

Is it still a bargain? and ballpark figure to fix.

Will appreciate any help.

Thanks

but it dude...the sport pack looks awsum. The oil leak is most likely your head gasket, common problem on this model, should cost you about R2500 to replace. Dont think i'll ever sell my ti. Post some picks when you get her.
