318ti/325ti Compact Inserts

Hey guys,

Looking for a place that resprays or where I could buy new inserts for my compact. BMW says its normal wear and tear and will not replace it under motorplan, its basically like its peeling/chipping on the door inserts and gear lever inserts. Im based in JHB, thanks.

mine does the same too, i just "peeled" everything off so my doors and gear lever inserts are mat black now. :thinking:

That is annoying the BMW does not replace them.

I understand the "we dont cover interior clause" cause some people should just be shot when it comes to the interiors of cars (my wife is one of them)... but they acknowledge that it is a wear and tear item, due to what must be a bad design material usage, so they should fix it.

Audi's are the worst for this, a 6 year old Audi interior is a sad place to be in....

all our cars its like that. except my old E36 cause those plastics were made plastic and not this soft touch plastics.

Even the 2006 E60 has some peeling

i was in the same situation as you, in the end i just had them sprayed silver and have never looked back since

I would really like to replace myne... gonna start hunting round scrappies and try get lucky. Problem is i like the design i currently have, so not keen to respray or choose different style. I do like the brushed aluminium ones, but not sure it will go with my white body color.
Anybody know of a site that shows a picture of the trim with a name or code for it ? I have no idea what my trim is called... basically a black background with grey/silver dots going from bigger to smaller in a pattern.. sound very weird i know but not sure how else to describe it... kinda has a CF look to it i spose. :mmm:

Ideas guys ?
