318 E46 battery box removal

Hi, I just want your thoughts on this... I am planning to cut out the battery box on my 318i E46 to fit twin exhausts, as I am in the process of installing a Lexus V8 motor and gearbox. There is no space to fit the exhaust with the battery in it's current position. Any ideas / thoughts on this? Is this a really bad idea? I don't see any electronics that will be in the way inside the vehicle where the battery is currently situated. I will lift the battery to floor level and build a new box to cover it up. what do you guys think?

I never thought of that, I will start taking pics today. The old engine is already out, I can only take leave end March to go fetch all the new stuff in Pretoria. But I will try and keep the link updated.
