Looks like Merc quality isn't improving any time soon. I drove the little sister SL43 at Kyalami at the launch...
I don't understand how they let a car out with such major drivability issues let alone to buyers or journos... (I guess they can control what the 'journo's' say at least). Apparently, this has been fixed with a software update since then. In the metal it is a very beautiful thing and I'd actually love to drive this version... But it's probably not going to make the shortlist for many given it will likely be Porsche Turbo S Cabrio territory cost wise though (based on US like for like pricing).
I guess a positive is the V8 is present and accounted for in the SL63... so at least they learned from 'nearly zero sales' of the C63 in most markets
