2015 YEAR END CHARITY DRIVE

As the year is rapidly passing us by, we have very little time to squeeze out a charity driver for 2015 but it would be great for us to give to the less fortunate. We have had many successful Charity Drives over the past few years and I am hoping we can pull off another one this year albeit on short notice.

I have started this thread so that we can get a discussion going and hopefully agree on the plan by this weekend.

I therefore suggest that we target the 12 Dec 2015 as the day for the Charity Drive. This gives us a month to pull it off. Hoping that everyone will join in and make this another successful event.

Please feel free to suggest possible deserving communities, charities, homes, shelters etc. Many of the Durban communities have been hard hit by drug abuse over the last few years and their are organisations that are fighting hard to combat this problem. We could identify one and make a donation to them? So many Childrens Homes in and around Durban etc.

So this thread is to get everyone sharing ideas and get a plan together :ty:

My suggestions are 1. The home we visited in overprotective. 2. The home in the bluff.

However I believe there may be a place in Richards bay that requires assistance?

The last i heard of the place on the Bluff there was a case of mismanagement of funds from the guy running it...

The feeding scheme we held in Welbedacht is a good way to give back during the festive season, Maybe we could use the same concept in a different area perhaps

I like the sound of a feeding skeem, in one of the poor areas in chatsworth or any other area. Nowdays I hear too many stories of how funds are mis managed at orphanages or homes.

Hi just a suggestion...maybe we can doing either a feeding scheme or toy donation at children's home since its nearing Christmas. At the same time we can also show them the diff rides we have.

We will leave this thread open to suggestions and ideas until Saturday evening. The events committee will then discuss the ideas and agree on the details of the event. We will thereafter post details of what the final plan is and get the ball rolling.
