In all fairness, we should be comparing the C63 to the M5 based on motor.

The C63 may win some reviews and may have more power but the M trumps it on looks. My choice would be the M.

I don't think that's a far comparison.
The C63 would have to be detuned so as not to be quicker than the E63

Did you mean to say Far or fair?

My view is based on the no of cylinders, I agree regarding the detuning of C.

Yeah agreed, Merc has an advantage based on number of cylinders.
I still maintain, the C63 and M3 cannot be compared as they are completely different cars catering for different people.

Another example of just how much the M3/M4 engine appears to be very underrated in terms of power and torque made, but somehow I still like the AMG 63 motor. Not a Merc fan (generally), but just about anything with an AMG engine seems to cause a "sit up and pay attention" reaction. :fencelook:
