If you can, before you finalize, invest in the BMW inspection / check points.
Think it’s R2,500

A buddy of mine had bought a C63 Merc that looked mint, after taking it for inspection, the veil was lifted .,....had ask for his refund, lost a bit on admin but Atleast avoided a lemon that looks and sounds the part!

BMW inspection is a must as VinceM says.
Check turbo coolant lines for common water leak (any vague smell of oil or coolant for that matter)
Check for oil leaks from the sump (not that common)
Check for oil leaks between the gearbox and motor (will require box out to fix)
Check for leak from the gearbox.
Shocks are not cheap, whether going OEM or aftermarket so look for leaky shocks
Belts should have been changed at least once by now
Look at service history for when last the brakes were done and at what mileage and if clutches were done (and at what mileage)

Read post here about the F10 M5 - for the most part, the same applies. BMW F10 M5 Maintenance, Issues & Out of Plan Items | BMWFanatics

Done a bit of research on these, brakes are very expensive and need replaced regularly so check the life left on yours.

Do some research on the s63tu engines, they have their faults, if possible get an aftermarket warranty.
