Guys,

My moms new car doesnt have the bluetooth fitted.

What options do we have?

Would want one that works through the cars radio & using the button on the steering wheel, if its possible

Cheers

We fitted the parrot into my wife’s X3 and its working well. I’m not sure which other brands are tops. This was recommended to us by the fitment centre. I’m sure there are other brands that are equally good. We paid about R3.7k for it and it is intergrated in the system with the button on the steering.

Yehp, Parrot is about the best.... dont know if it fully integrates with steering, an approved fitment center will see you keep the motorplan, thats important.

What will a BMW blueteeth module cost you....

yes parrot is the best..and the steering mfs buttons do work:thumb:

and it doesnt affect motorplan...fitted couple of parrot systems at work...

I was at Edenvale, Greenstone shooping Centre, got it from the Vodashop there. my bro-in-law has one as well, and his is teh higher model, he paid like R150 extra and it calles out the name when a call comes in.

any vodashop stocks it but that shop had it for the lowest price compared to the rest

Well guys, i have the iPhone 4 and i am assuming other phones with the 3.5mm jack would work as well. i have the cord with the 3.5mm jacks on either side and plug the phone into the aux inside the armrest. then change the radio to aux function and the phone loudspeaker must be off, then the phone feeds through the car speakers like it would feed through the music from our i-pod. only catch hear is the microphone used is still the phone licrophone one. what i do is hook my phone onto the windscreen with a cheapie R30 phone holder and it wokrs quite well, never had issues with people hearing me. give it a try, like i said the iPhone works well with the voice capturing, not sure about how other phones would fair but i hazard a guess, iut should be the same and no difference.

hey bru, its a function of the car+phone, then why not he he

Think bluetooth would be easier for my mom, she wouldnt want to have to plug the phone in each time & then not have radio functioning...

she just wants it to connect when she gets in the car & drives
