I need help, bought 2009 (E90) BMW 3 Series M Sport. Checked in the boot & can't find CD Changer, is there a possibility that the car doesn't have it?

I have the CD changer in my boot, but it's not getting sufficient power (3.5v in stead of the 12.6v
I will probably never fix it lol

It was not a standard equipped item, AFAIK
I had one in my 323i, never had it in my 320d. Suppose on the lci's it wasn't actually needed, seeing as it could play mp3's.
