2008 E90 Radiator fan

Good Evening Ladies & Gents

I don't know if this question has been asked yet if so my apologies. I drive a 2008 320i E90, after fiddling with the on-board I somehow got to were one can see the temperature reading. ( I presume its the water temperature and not the oil ) My question is this : What should the normal reading ( Water temperature ) be, for the radiator fan to start blowing.

I had a look at mine and its at about 109*C before the fan starts turning. I'm concerned that's a bit to late ?

Thanks in advance

From what I understand the e90 engine temperatures vary quite a bit because of the material used to make the engine block (accept for the 335i). Thats the reason why BMW never added a temp gauge.
