Hi guys.

As the title states...what does one have to change? Just oil and oil filter? Which oil is best for my car? Is there anything else? Mileage is 104000kms. Came off mp in December 2013. What's the cost?

What about air filter and fuel filter? Cabin/micro filters once in a while.

Fully synthetic oil

Well the display says service in 400kms. Not sure if it's inspection or oil service. Need to check the last invoice.

You can check what services it needs on the computer, scroll through the items find service info and go look in that.

Oil should be changed every 10 000kms if the car is used on short trips.

Fuel filter is not necessary every service. But air filter is.

If you doing airfilter replacement Diy, be prepared for lots stripping and wondering what the hell bmw was thinking when they came up with the placement and design.

Oil, Oil filter and fuel filter simple.

If you have your service book look how few times bmw actually change airfilter while car is on motorplan.

Whats a warranty going to do if the car is out of MP, good luck trying to tell the RMI workshop that they at fault when something goes wrong.

Heven that's a competitive price :praise:

I usually change oil, oil filter, air filter, fuel filter, every 9000kms or 11months, which ever comes first.......

Which engine do you have, M47 or N47 ?

The diesel particle filter/primary CAT that sits between the turbo and exhaust. You can hollow it out of the existing shell but it's not recommended. Best is to have an exhaust shop remove it and replace with a down-pipe. Will set you back R1500.

S1NGH you doing some catching up... lol...

de-dpf will set of engine light. You need to have it turned off in software. The car shouldnt smoke if its stock and HEALTHY, but will most likely smoke if its not stock.

Not sure about fitting cat foolers. Speak to the exhaust guys.

That price is what you should be paying for a service... Oil (5litres) - R450 + Oil Filter - R200 + Labor - R200, airfilter R400 + R200 labor = R1450

Add R70+- if they did oil flush. Which they should IMO.
